Re-editing

Hello everyone today I am going to be talking about our reediting Process. Set this time there is a deadly virus that is going around that has quarantined us in our house. We are working really hard to try to work around this issue. We have tried FaceTime and we have put some ideas out for the re-editing via text. Everyone is really scared with this virus going around. It is very difficult to try to get into communication with people. Our plan for the editing was to re-edit this week like it together and re-edit but the coronavirus got worse so we had to be Quarantine. If you don’t know the coronavirus has affected almost the whole world. It is very difficult to try and edit as a group over FaceTime. It is also difficult to try and figure out how to edit our stuff over text. It’s difficult because we all have ideas and it’s difficult to share ideas over text. That’s why we planned to do our Re-editing in person and not over text or FaceTime. So we planned to meet at someone’s house to start to re-edit what we needed too. And for that to work we had to rewatch our movie a couple of time to find out what we need to fix. That process took a while to get it all done but eventually we got the watching part done. After that we were planning on meeting up to get the re-editing done but that didn’t happen because of the virus. But when we can we know what we have to do to get everything done.

Reshooting

Hello everyone today I’m going to talk about my reshooting journey and what we did to reshoot. So this past week we were supposed to do our reshooting for our movie. We were super excited to do this and tried to find time to do our reshooting. But recently there has been a deadly virus outbreak and has put our plans to reshoot further than expected. So this week we were planning on reshooting our movie clips that need reshooting. So the previous week we looked at our movie to see what we needed to reshoot. This took a while because we had to watch it over and over again. But we figured out what needs to get fixed and what was good. After we figured it out we had to see where it was filmed and plan to go back to that spot and film it. So we planned to do that this week but unfortunately there has been an outbreak of a deadly virus. This virus is called the coronavirus and it has been spreading around the world so rapidly. The officials say that we need to practice Social distancing and wash our hands a lot . So that’s what we are doing we are quarantine into our houses to try and stop the spread of this. So that has pushed back our filming time. We are still quarantined and will probably be quarantined for a while so we haven’t got to reshoot yet. We are hoping this virus gets better so we can get this done. But we have a plan for what we need to do when we can do it.

Editing blog

    Hello everyone so today I’m going to talk about how my group and I attempted to edit and what I did to help. So my group and I worked on editing the blog a couple of day ago and it went pretty well we just had to get some more stuff done. I was so excited to start editing this movie and do whatever I could to put my skills to use. This whole year after I learned how to edit I was so excited to practice using them and to get hopefully pretty good at using them. That one thing I love about this class is learning new skills that could be really useful in life. This whole project has been so exciting and has made us so proud of what we’ve Learned and what we can do. I think my group and I got to put are skills to use and we are so happy we got this opportunity. So we got a good amount of stuff done when we last edited. So this time we tried really hard to make it better and see what we need to add. We tried to get all of it done but we got some of it done just not all of it. So today we started to get the computer and start to edit. But we got the wrong computer so we had to get another one so we were off to a good start lol. Then after that we went on our video and we watched it a couple of time to make sure we knew what we need to do. Doing this step is very important so we know what we already have. Then we did some more clean transitions to make it look good. After that we watched it agin to see how it looks and it was doing pretty good. I’m very proud of the work we have gotten done.

Editing blog

Hey guys so today I’m going to be talking about my editing journey and what I did to edit. So I was really excited about editing because I think it’s so much fun to edit. Editing just makes me so happy and makes me want to learn more about it. Of course there are some times where editing can be frustrating but overall it can be lots of fun. Filming our movie was lots of fun but I was just so excited and ready to start editing. My group and I were trying to get it done a little early so we can have it for the peer review. We got most of it done but we still need to put in some more titles and fonts. We tried to get most of it done and it took a while but most of it worked out. We kind of rushed it but we will go back and fix it. We also need to clean it up a little more before it can be fully done and ready. So the first thing we did to start is to merge all the clips to one big clip. That took a while to get all the clips together. After we got all of them together we started to cut the big clip. We cut the clip so it was just as we wanted it. Cutting the clip was really stressful because we kept cutting the wrong part so it took some time. After we cut the clip we had to add transitions so it wouldn’t look so choppy. After that we added some titles but we didn’t finish all of them. We also need to add some more fonts so our movies looks good. But so far it is going pretty well.

Peer review

     Hello so my whole class did a peer review on different groups in the class to watch their movie and critique it. The paper we had to fill out was filled with the stuff we need for the final. That’s what we did we watch a film and I said what I liked and what they could do better. So we watched our classmates movie and the movie was supposed to be a scary movie. While I was watching the movie I had to fill out a paper saying what I liked and what could be better. It also asked some specific questions about whether or not they had certain things in the film. So while I was watching the film I filled out the paper to say what it had in the film. I had to watch it a couple of time to make sure I put everything down right.  Their movie was a horror film so they had some good spooky elements. But they didn’t have a lot of creepy sounds to make it have that scary vibe. I liked their story and how creative it was. I really liked how clean the transition were, I liked how clear you could see the changes but not in a choppy way. I also liked the lighting they had, it was dim but not too dark. I also really liked the story line and how it ended I thought it was good. One thing they could do to make it even better is by adding some creepy music too it. Also they could use some more realistic props because it just makes it feel more real.
