Re-filming

Hello today I will be talking about our re-filming journey. So we started editing and it was going great. But while watching we noticed something. We were looking at the scenes and we realized that we didn’t film some scenes. So we had to make plans to re film. Which was going to be difficult because of Morgan. Since she just got a surgery it would be different for her. So we had to figure out how we could do it so Morgan can be in it too. So we decided to film the parts where Morgan isn’t in them. Just so we can give Morgan more time to heal. So when we decided that then we had to decide when we were going to film. So we took some time to figure out everyone’s schedule. Once we figured it out we got a date for filming. After we got the date we had to figure out if we needed props. If we needed props we had to figure out how to get them. After we figured out the props we went to get them.  We needed the mirror which we had and a flashlight. So we got the flashlights. After we got our props it was time to film. So we went over to jakes house to do the re- filming.

Adding in music

Hello today I will be talking about music. Well music in our film. I will also be talking about the importance it is in movies. Music really makes a movie especially in horror. So when we were think of music we had to do some research. We look at other horror movies to see what type of music they play. When looking at it they all play eerie music. This is to add an uneasy feeling in the audience. Adding eerie music really makes the audience feel the mood. The creators made eerie music to make people feel worried while watching or uneasy. Another sound that horror movies use is ominous orchestras. This is another great sound that people put in horror movies. There are so many great options to put into the movie. Which is crazy because I never knew how many music options there were for horror. But that gives us a lot of options to choose from. So we had to do some research for the music. We had to see which eerie type of music would fit our movie the best. So we looked up movies like ours. Like Annabelle and other spirit related horror films. To see what type of music they had. They all had eerie music so we looked up some eerie music to put in our film.

Editing begins

Hello today I will be talking about editing. Specifically our editing for our movie. Since we finished up our filming we decided that’s it time to start the editing. Mostly planning the editing, but also starting it. We also just want to see what would look best with our film. So we are going to try a couple of thing to see what would look best. After we do that I think we are going to look back on our old movie. This is to see what we did last year. To see how we can make our new one even better. We would do this buy seeing what techniques we used last year. Also how we used them and what parts we used them. Then we would think about how we could make it better. Then we would start our process. So for our editing process we would all send the clips of the movie to each other. This is because we all took clips on our phones. Because this takes up a lot of storage. We want to make sure we had enough storage for the whole movie. Then we are going to put them together. Then we are going to add any effects or cut stuff if we need too. Then we are going to rewatch it and see if there is anything else that we need to add.

Our obstacles during filming

Hello today I will be talking about some issues with filming. We chose to film our movie early. This was due to the fact that Morgan was having surgery during break. Christmas break was when we thought we were going to film. So we had all the stuff ready to do that over break. So when we found out she was having surgery we had to film ASAP. This is because we didn’t know how long she was going to take to recover. Recovering from surgery’s can take a while so we wanted to get filming over with. We filming our movie right after Halloween. We thought we were going to film on Halloween. We soon realize that if there people around they would get in our shot. Then we would have to retake that shot. Or it might be too loud if music was playing. So we decided to not risk it. I think we filmed it on the perfect week. Because we were all free and we all wanted to finish it up. We are all glad that we got it out of the way. It’s one less thing to worry about. Now Morgan can rest after her surgery. She is really happy that we filmed before her surgery.

Filming day 2

Hello today I will be talking about our day 2 of the filming process. On filming day one we decided to only do a couple of scenes. This was due to the fact that we started filming so late. The flashlights that we used in the few scenes we did also weren’t doing anything for us anymore. So the next day we all came back to jakes house to film the rest. We kept all of our costumes at jakes so we wouldn’t forget them. We went over to his house mid day. So it wouldn’t be so bright but it would be good enough for lighting. Once we got there we put on our costumes and did some makeup. After that we got some props ready. We had to make some so we took some time on that. After that we had to read our scripts. Just to go over what to do in the scenes. Then after reading the scripts we had to see where we would film the scenes. We also practiced a couple of times. Just to make sure that we knew what we were doing. Once we got that done we started to film. Filming went good we got it done quick. Filming was super fun. I really enjoyed it and I also enjoyed seeing my group mates again.

Titles

Hello today I will be talking about titles. Specifically Titles in our film. Titles can really add to a film. Titles inform the audience about what the movie is. Another thing that really goes hand on hand is fonts. The fonts also matter in a movie. There are different fonts for different genres. This makes titles so unique. Or sometimes you can tell which fonts goes with which genre. For example horror has some fonts like sorrow, and exorcist. Just by the names of these you can tell that these are for horror films. These fonts are used in many horror films. Another example is action. Some action fonts are the avengers. We know these are action movies. We know this because any marvel movie is action. Titles and fonts make up the movies. It makes the audience understand it little more. So when thinking about our movie and knowing it’s a horror movie we had to get the right titles and fonts. We also did this last year when picking our titles.

Filming day 1

Hello today I’m going to be talking about our filming. We wanted to split our filming into two days. We decided this because on the first day it was getting dark out. There were some scenes that needed to be in the light. So we had to split up the filming in two days. So when we first started filming we went to jakes house. I was in charge of being the costumes . When we got to James house I soon realized that I forgot his costume. So I had to drive all the way back to my house to get it. It was already getting dark so when we got all ready it was pretty dark. We were worried that the lighting wouldn’t be good in the dark. So we got some flashlights so you could see us. We also had to look out for cars and other people. We had to look out because we were filming this in the middle of the street. We also had to make sure no dogs were barking. That took some time because when filming the scenes in the street there were some dogs barking. So after getting the street scenes done we started to film us walking up to the house. This was kinda hard because the lighting wasn’t the best. But luckily we had the flashlights which helped a lot. After those few scenes we decided to take a break because the lighting was getting worse and worse.

Social media

Hello today I will be talking about our social media platforms for our movie. These platforms include Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. On these platforms we put the information about our movie. We included the actors, when it would be coming out, and the title of the film. When creating these platforms it was a breeze. This is because we all know how to set up social media platforms. I set up Instagram and that was pretty easy. But after I set it up I had to follow every other film group on Instagram. Which was good so now we can show off our idea with an audience. Some of our followers are also just random people who just want to see the movie. Morgan did Facebook and she said it was ok setting up. She had to download the app because she never used it before. But after she got logged in she said it was pretty good. We made the Facebook just like the Instagram one. We added the title, names of the actors, and when it will be showing. We also added the same profile picture in both. Alex did Twitter and said it was easy. She already had Twitter so it was a breeze for her. Like before we added the same profile picture. We also included everything we added to the Instagram and Facebook one.

Filming

Hello today I’m going to be talking about filming. Specifically filming my group and I movie. Me and my group mates are so excited to film. We are so excited to finally make our story come to life. We are so excited to see how are acting skills are too. Since we made a short film last year we are pretty familiar with the skills we need. We also know what we have to do to get the perfect angle or lighting. When we filmed last year it was an amazing experience. We got to really see what it’s like and how serious and fun it can be. When it came to filming this year my group and I couldn’t be more excited. Unfortunately we haven’t started filming yet. One of our group mates went out of town for the break. So we couldn’t start filming. We were planning to try and start over break. Now we are going to plan it for another time. We have all of our stuff planned out. We know where we are going to film. Which is super important because without knowing that we wouldn’t be able to film and see our vision. We also know what we are going to use in the movie to make it look realistic. For example our props for our movie.

Choosing music

Hello today my group and I chose our music for our film. For our film there are going to be different tones in the music. We will also need different speeds of songs. So we can capture all the emotions. While choosing our music we had to think about what our genre is. Since we are doing horror movie we wanted eerie music. We did some research to see what type of music is usually in horror movies. When we looked it up it says hard rock music, and eerie music. So we looked up some hard rock artists and we saw Rob Zombie. So my group and I are thinking of using one of his songs. Rob Zombies songs have been used in other horror movies. Some of these horror movies include House of 1000 corpses. His songs give theses movies a sense of unsettling and unsure feeling. We would like to use his hit song “living dead girl”. We would use this song as an introduction to our movie. We feel if we use this as an introduction it would give the audience a creepy and uneasy feeling. This would be great especially if it’s at the beginning so the audience knows what the vibes are going to be for the rest of the movie. We have not contacted him yet to ask for his permission. My group and I haven’t been in contact over the break. So when we get in contact we will email him.

Creating our website

Hello today my group mates and I created a website. My group and I were so excited to create these. Along with that we also created 4 social media’s. For our website we used Wix.com. We all assigned what social media we were going to create.Alex created the website for our group. The website is to show the audience what our movie is about. It’s also to show the people who star in it. She said it was fairly easy but she did have a couple issues with it. Alex also Created the Twitter account. While making this account Alex found it easy to make this account. This is to make us have a wider audience and to show off our movie. Morgan created the Facebook. While making this account Morgan had some trouble. She said that it wouldn’t let her type in the movie name. We made the Facebook to widen our audience. Jake made the YouTube. Jake has a hard time making the YouTube account. He said he had trouble because they wouldn’t let him make another account since he already had one. Luckily we figured it out and got the channel created. I made the Instagram account. I found it very easy because I know how to work instagram. This is also to show off our movie to a wider audience.

Storyboard blog

In our storyboard 4 friends are trick or treating when they come across this haunted house. When they go into the house I go into a different room and find a mirror. When looking into this mirror I find that there is something evil in this mirror. I then find myself getting possessed and killing everyone in my path. Until Morgan finds a way to break me free from this curse.

Planning Blog

Hello! Today my group and I went on a video call to discuss our plans for making our short film. We listed everyone that makes up our group along with other friends of yours that will be alongside side us to help film and/or set up for our filming day. Then we set up our schedule and typed up future dates for when we plan on filming, editing, refilm, and re-edit. We hope to begin the filming process right around Thanksgiving break so that we have plenty of free time to work. We also took the time to talk about all of the necessary health and safety precautions we will follow especially during the pandemic. Lastly we planned each of our character's costumes and props we intend to use. The location for filming is at Jake’s house and at my house.

Short film vs. Feature length film

Hello today I will be comparing the short film and the movie 9. From what I watched there were a few differences that I noticed. I really enjoyed this activity because the movie was really cute. So first I will start with the short film of 9. I really liked watching this short film. I liked the lighting, and animation. The one thing I didn’t really like about it was that there was no dialogue in the short film. But the lighting was really good with the emotions that were going on in the short film. I didn’t like how we didn’t know what was going on during the short film. But I understood what the plot was. Now for the movie of 9. I really liked this movie and I liked all the aspects of it. I think I enjoyed this one more than the short film. This is because it gave us a background story that made the watchers understand. I also really loved how it had dialogue. Like the characters talked and that’s something I really enjoyed. I also liked the lighting aspect of the movie. The lighting went along with the emotions of the characters. I really liked both a lot, but I think I liked the movie more. Just because of the dialogue.

Research 9 the feature film

Hello today I’m going to review and research the movie 9. I already watched the short film but now I had to watch the movie. My first impression watching this movie was I thought it was really good. I noticed some things that were different in the movie than in the short film. For one in the movie there was dialogue. In the short film there was no dialogue. I really liked how they used dialogue in the movie. I also really liked the plot of this movie. The plot of the movie was that a scientist created these evil robots and they stared to kill all plants and humans. So this scientist creates these rag doll like things to destroy these robots. But the scientist puts his soul in these rag dolls. I really liked this movie and the animation. The character development was very strong in this movie because at one point 9 is the last rag doll and he kills the evil monster.i really liked this plot better than the other one. I liked this one more because it had more of a background story to help us figure out what happened. I also really like the animation and how the characters looked. I also love the lighting in the movie. The lighting really coordinated with what was happening in the movie. For example when things we’re getting scary the lighting would be dark. Overdo really enjoyed this movie.

Research 9 the short

Hello today I will be reviewing the short film 9 by Shane Acker. So my impression on watching this for the first time was its very silent. Yes there was sounds but only squeaking parts of metal and when things dropped. And it made it very Erie when the sound of the metal monster came in.  There was no dialogue in this short film and it caught me off guard. I didn’t really like how there wasn’t any dialogue but everything else I really liked. I really like the animations in this short film. Some thing I noticed was the plot. The plot in this was this little guy was trying to survive in a waste land and he was the last person to survive. Him and his friends were the last two people in the land. But soon after the short film started the friend died.  Another thing I noticed was the character development. In this the character was always with his friend. When the monsters killed his friend he got stronger and smarter because he realized that he has to look out for something and always be observant. I also noticed the special effect. In this short film they used animation. I really liked how they made the characters act and look. The looks they had made it very creepy and scary. I also liked how dark the lighting was because it showed that where this character was, dark and creepy.

Genre Choice for Film

Hello. After conducting research on action, thriller, and horror genres, my group and I decided on the horror genre. We believe that our ideas more accurately represent the common elements of the horror genre. Also, we find the horror genre to be a very diverse and big genre with many sub-genres within it that will allow us to be more creative. We knew from the get go that we didn’t want to work in the action genre. We thought that it would be hard for us to be able to come up with a original plot and that the practical effects would be difficult to create. After removing action from our list, we were stuck with horror and thriller. At first my group and I really weren’t sure if we should do horror or thriller. We went through our research together and shared thoughts and ideas for our we want in our movie. Overall, the ideas of gore and death that we came up with leaned more towards the horror genre. We believe that this would be a good genre to choose because we already had previous experience working within this genre. Last year when we were in AS level Media Studies, our final project was the opening to a horror movie. We worked really well during this project and we had a lot of fun creating and sharing ideas for it. Also the pitch that we came up with works better with a horror genre rather than thriller. Our pitch was gonna be based on a supernatural element which commonly seen in horror. My group and I love horror movies and we get a lot of inspiration from horror movies. For example, last year, when creating our final project, my group and I took inspiration from famous slasher films such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Scream”. Since we created a slasher film last year, we wanted to try something new this year. This year we want to take a more supernatural approach to horror. I’m very excited try something within the supernatural realm of horror because it will allow us to much more creative and unique. Experimenting with these sub genres in horror will allow us to become more flexible while still working with a genre we love. We are all very excited to start working on this project!

Genre research- Action

Action just like any other genre has common lightnings, camera angles, mis en scenes, editing, and sound. In action films lots of accent lighting is used to enhance certain scenes and the mood intended for that particular scene. Some common situations for the lighting in the beginning of the movie is low lightning with shadowing. Then as the movie picks up to more action packed shots the lightning becomes brighter in cases of victory or back to gloomy in times of loss. Common camera angles in action movies include high angles to show superiority or low angles to show inferiority. Tilts, aerial shots, over the shoulder shot, establishing, and medium close ups are also common. Action genre films also have tend to have common sounds such as ambient background sounds like explosions or lots of digetic and non-digetic sounds. Sounds from vehicles is present in a lot of action movies and of course dialogue. Common Mis En Scene can be shown through the abbreviation C.L.A.M.P.S. C for costumes has a very wide spectrum that could go from gowns and tuxes in a film like James Bond to superhero costumes in the Avengers. L for lightening is usually correlated with tone so it could be bright or low. A for actors is people from all genders, ethnics, and nationality. Makeup usually isn't too dramatic and a lot of times used to show cuts or a rugged look. P for props in action films could be cars, weapons, or practically anything retaining to the plot. Setting is also very vague, they could be shot anywhere but the location is usually established very quickly and states when it changes. Common editing techniques used in the genre Action consist of jump shots, flashbacks, etc.

Action is a very big genre in film. Many of the films in this genre have very similar elements. The elements for an action film include high impacts, continuous high energy, lots of physical stunts and activity, and many times there are extended chase scenes, fights, escapes, and races. Action films also have a lot of non-stop motion and great rhythm and pacing in order to keep the audience entertained. Action films also have great potential to cross-over into other genres of film such as: Science fiction, thriller, crime, and westerns. Many times in action films there is usually some type of love interest between the protagonist and another character. Another character element in action films is that the hero seems to always have some dark and depressing backstory. Action films will always have the main protagonist struggling against some kind of life-threatening situation such as facing an evil super villain, trapped in a deadly scenario, or in a dangerous chase but in the end, the hero always wins. A couple examples of action films that display many of these elements are: John Wick (2014), Spectre (2015), Mission Impossible-Fallout (2018), and Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014). Within these elements I really like the overly dramatic fight scenes as well as the prolonged chase sequences. I find these elements to be very entertaining and fun to watch. However, I don’t really like some of the character and plot elements of actions films like the love interest or the dark backstory. I find these elements to be very cliché and overdone.

Genre research- horror

The horror genre like many others have common camera angles, movements and shots, common lighting, mis en scene, editing and sound. The most common camera angles seen in this genre are high angles to show superiority, dutch angle to give the feeling of tension and to show that somethings wrong, and low angles to show inferiority. Some common camera shots and movements are long shots, close up, zooms, point of view shots, tracking and pan shots, over the shoulder, wide shot, establishing shot just to name a few. For lighting, some common scenes are introduced with dark lighting to emphasize the feeling that something is going to happen, usually something that's not good. As the movie progresses there are usually some scenes that are more brightly lit to break up the feeling of suspense and horror. Which are then followed by the darkened scenes which radiate the feeling of horror. Horror genre film also have common sounds such as non diegetic sound, usually the eerie sounds that the viewers hear when somethings about to happen. Also diegetic sound, dialogue, ambient sounds, incidental sounds and internal diegetic. Common Mis en scene can be shown through the abbreviation C.L.A.M.P.S. C for costumes has a very big spectrum. Usually the costumes can consist of normal clothing normally seen in movies like Annabelle and Scary stories. Along with normal clothing some more obscure costumes can be used for the antagonist of the movie like in movies like the Scream trilogy. L for lighting is usually connected to the tone of the movie usually it’s dark lighting to make the feeling of horror. A for actors  can be anyone, any gender, ethnicity, nationality. M for makeup can be anything. In some movies like  Scary stories  they use effects makeup or normal every day makeup. P for props can be anything from a knife to a stick. S the setting can be anywhere any location. Common editing techniques used in this genre are flashbacks, cut always, fade in/out, shot reverse shot, action match, jump cut etc. Horror is a very big genre in film and a lot of the films have very similar elements. The elements in a horror film are designed to frighten and panic, cause dread and alarm, and to invoke our hidden worst fears, often in a terrifying, shocking finale. While captivating and entertaining us at the same time in a cathartic experience. Horror films effectively center on the dark side of life the forbidden, and strange and alarming events. They deal with our most primal nature and it’s fears:our nightmares, our vulnerability, our alienation, our revulsion, our terror of the unknown, our fear of death and dismemberment, or loss of identity. Horror films are often combined with science fiction when the menace or monster is related to a corruption of technology, or when earth is threatened by aliens. A couple examples of horror films that show these elements are: It (2017),  The ring (2002), The Blair Witch Project (1999), The Wolf Man (2010), and Insidious (2010). Within these elements I really like the jump scares they add into these horror films, I also like the monsters they create. However I don’t like it when different horror films have the same story line I think that it’s annoying.

Genre research-thriller

The thriller genre like many others have common camera angles, movements, and shots, common lighting, Mis en scene, editing and sound. We thought that this fit our theme of our new movie really well. For the Mis en scene there are many different aspects that go into it. Like the lighting in a thriller the lighting tends to create shadows to create tension within the audience. Another aspect that goes into this thriller is the props the props for thrillers tend to be spaced close together to create a claustrophobic affect to portray the entrapment in the characters mind. The setting tends to be in dark places such as alleys or haunted houses. The makeup also takes a huge roll in thrillers. Usually in thrillers there makeup tends to be slim to none to make the character seem more relatable for the audience. The clothing in thrillers tend to be normal clothing. Like casual wear thrillers use these type of clothes to create realism within a film so it makes the audience believe that it could happen to them. The most common camera angles seen in this genre are high angles/ bird eye view. These shots are used to give the effect that whatever is being looked down on appears powerless and vulnerable. Another one they commonly use are low angles. They use this to show how powerful of intimidating the villain is. For thrillers some common shots the use are the close up shot. They do this to show the characters reaction. Another one they use are over the shoulder shots. They use this to build up tension and suspense between the characters. The lighting for most thrillers are dark to create a eerie affect. The common sounds for thrillers are non diegetic sound. This is usually the sound they hear when something bad is going to happen. The editing for most thrillers are flash backs, cutaways, shot reverse shot, and action match.

Genres I would like to research

Hello! Today my group and I in class had a discussion about researching genres for our upcoming movie. We began to brain storm about the different options we had and discussed which ones we thought would best fit our pitch. Due to the fact that it's about teenagers mysteriously disappearing in a creepy house on Halloween night, the first and most obvious genre that came to our mind was horror. I would like to further my knowledge of the genre and research it because it is one of my personal favorites. Additionally, I think the elements that go along with it really creates a memorizing movie that can really catch the attention of audience and have them on the edge of their seat. The next genre our group thought of was thriller. I think this genre is super intriguing and it really involves the audience as well. As a third option, we thought of action. Action incorporates lots of elements that would be fun for the creators to make and for the viewers to watch. My group and I already a pretty well rounded background knowledge on the genre horror. Last year while prepping to film our movie title sequence we spent a lot of time together in and out of the classroom doing research about this genre. We have a pretty good understanding of things like lightening and other misenscene involved. However, it never hurts to do more. So that's exactly what we'll do. As a group, we are going to conduct further research on the genre horror along with thriller and actions. Afterwards we can go over and discuss what we learned to see which genre it is that will be best fitted for the movie that we want to make. I'm super excited to begin this process and this journey of creating this short film. We want to make our movie look professional as possible, and the only way to do that is to make sure we know what we're doing. So, the research begins!

Group blog

Hello today I’m going to be talking about my group. I love the group I am working with. I’m so happy that I get to work with these talented people. I have been friends with the people in my group since elementary school. Also one of them is my sister so lol. I’m so excited to work with my group mates because they are all so talented and creative. We are all so excited to come up with our ideas for the project. We were all so happy that we are working together and that we can create something amazing. The people in my group are Alex, Jake, and Morgan. Each group member is so creative and intelligent. Jake was such a great director for our film last year. He knew exactly what he wanted and everyone was a director but he was amazing. Alex was a really good editor. Like I said everyone did editing but Alex was so good at it. Morgan was a great actor we all really love the way she acted. I’m so excited to see what we come up with for the idea of this project. Last year I really loved our project we did a murder mystery. And we also did commercials with each other and that was so fun. We basically worked together all last year too. But I’m so excited to work with them again!

Intro blog

Hello I’m so excited to be back for a second year in this class! When I took this class last year I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it. So I’m very excited that there is another media class. So today in class we started talking about our short film and I can’t wait to start it! We talked about finding our groups for this project or that we can work by ourselves, but personally I already have my group. In class we talked about what the expectations are for this project. We also talked about how our short film could possibly go into a little film convention. I think that’s pretty cool making your own film and possibly putting into a fair or convention. some other things that we talked about was just the overview of what needs to go into the short film package. We also talked about branding and promoting our short film. We have to promote our short film as a part of the project which I think is really cool. We also talked about the website part to it, because some people were confused. So the teacher cleared thing up about the website part which was good. We also talked about how long our short film has to be. I’m so excited to start this and create an idea with my group. We wanted to make a part 2 for our movie we did last year but we aren’t doing that. I think we are going to make a new fresh idea. I’m so grateful to have this class and I’m so excited. We also talked about our CR and what to do for that. So yeah class was great and I can’t wait to start the project.

Audiences and Institutions essay

Marketing is essential when it comes to making a film. It's the way it gets out to the people so they can watch the film. It's also the money put towards the ads and what platform they are going to put the ad out. It’s a necessity for the film world because it decides what cinemas it will be showing at and the release timing of a film. The success or failure of the marketing campaign of a film will have a huge influence on the profitability of the film. The key elements of any film marketing campaign include posters, the unique selling point of a poster promises a unique film and may appear special to the viewer. Most viewers need to be presented with something new and fresh because that grabs the viewers' attention and reals them in to see the movie.
One film that really caught people's attention was the movie Black panther. One of the main wayto successfully market a movie is to make something that will grab people's attention, and this was one movie that everyone was excited for. They created this emotion of excitement in people by making teasers and trailers that were everywhere. This includes social media ads would pop on Instagram and twitter, snapchat, and even Facebook. They also put out posters on billboards and more ads on TV. They wanted to make sure that everyone knew about this film, and through all this marketing excitement grew among the whole world. There was also a special premiering to show off the movie even more.
Another film that really caught people’s eyes was the movie Jurassic World everyone loved the classic Jurassic Park and they didn’t think the other ones would be as good, but directors created a Jurassic world and people were really intrigued to see what this movie was about. Everyone was so anxious to see the trailer for this movie so when everyone saw it, the trailer blew up with views. This movie had a lot of marketing, the movie partnered with Legos to make a Lego set of the Jurassic World set. All the kids loved it and that was another way to market their movie. So if families didn’t see it yet and the kids bought the toy they would ask their parents to see the movie.
An additional movie that really stood out was Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2Everyone loved the first movie and were really hoping that there would be a 2nd one. People were so excited when Marvel put out the sequel teaser. After people saw that the hype just kept growing and growing, something that helped that was a Super bowl commercial and mix tape poster reveal. There were also other marketing skills like they partnered up with Doritos and they made a Guardians of the galaxy Doritos bag. This really helped the hype of this movie to keep growing. The hype was so big that when they finally released the movie on the first weekend, they had already made $427 million.
Again, with this movie The Lego Movie Part 2, all the kids around the world were excited to see this movie and were excited to see the trailer when it came out. The kids were getting excited because of the ads on the TV and the poster they would see on the billboards when they were in their cars. They also made Lego sets about the second movie and it was a really big thing. The second movie didn’t do so good but most of the kids that saw it were really happy.
Overall Marketing is a huge thing in the movie/ film industry and its very important. There is also a lot of elements that make up the marketing process and  we have to know what they are. And its always good to learn about thing like this in the filming world because a lot of elements make up the filming world and its good to share it.
